Say hello to Sarah – a Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer here at Rossis. We asked her to tell us a bit more about her life ….
She told us that, although she’s always been into fitness, she originally chose an academic path on leaving school and gained a History degree at the University of Lancashire. Yes, for those that ask about that accent – Sarah’s Lancashire born and bred, although she’s also spent time living in Florida and in Scotland too. She worked in recruitment in Cape Canaveral helping recruit for United Space Alliance on behalf of NASA and got to watch up close at several Rocket and Shuttle launches before heading to Scotland where she worked in the Oil and Gas field industries.
Later, she moved down south where her 2 children were born – her proudest achievement - and started to focus on “what she wanted to be “when she grew up”. As a keen fitness enthusiast, she felt that becoming a Personal Trainer was a natural choice and led her to join us at Rossis.
Sarah practiced the martial art of Muay Thai from the age of 12 for more than a decade. This form of Thai combat boxing combines the use of fists, elbows, knees and shins. Running has always been a passion too and she decided to switch to less violent forms of exercise; completing many half-marathons and a full marathon. She also loves strength training and instructing Les Mills Body Pump.
Sarah told us that what she loves most about her job at Rossis is the friendly environment – it’s her “happy place” - plus the amazing team of people she works with whom she describes as like one big family along with our lovely Members. Asked to describe herself in a few words she commented that she’s motivating, dedicated, determined, positive and fiercely loyal.
